Since the early days of Skunk genetics, new seed varieties have been developed mainly through indica and sativa hybrids. Although these crosses combine both genetic lines, most strains tend to lean clearly toward one dominant side. During experimentation with different genetics, Spanish breeders encountered a sativa–indica hybrid whose psychoactive characteristics were unmistakably sativa. The smoke was exceptionally thick and powerful, earning the strain the name Moby Dick. This vigorous sativa inherited its intensity from Haze and White Widow.

Royal Moby by Royal Queen Seeds offers a Dutch interpretation of this Spanish classic, released in feminized form. As a sativa-dominant variety, it grows large and vigorous. Royal Moby develops as expected from a sativa, with long side branches and buds forming along the entire plant.

The THC content is reported to be around 21%.
