Polte Glass

Polte Glass is glass art from Tampere, Finland. Behind every piece is a single maker who shapes borosilicate glass by hand using lampworking, from design to finish. There is no series production and no two pieces are identical.

Borosilicate withstands heat and wear and gives colours depth. Opals, inclusions and layered tones play differently in the light from every angle. The forms move between organic and sculptural, yet every piece is also made to be used.
