The ProTest Cocaine Multi-Reagent Test Kit is an analysis kit containing several reagents for the preliminary identification of cocaine and any substances that may have been added to it. Instead of a single test, the kit allows several separate chemical reactions to be carried out on the same sample.

The multi-reagent design gives a broader overall picture of the sample's composition. Different reagents react differently to cocaine, stimulants, MDxx compounds, 2C compounds, tryptamines and other possible adulterants. The combination of reactions helps assess whether the sample matches the expected substance or whether the results point to other compounds.

The kit is designed for situations where a more thorough preliminary analysis is needed than a single reagent can provide.

How the multi-reagent test works

Several separate reactions are carried out on the sample with different reagents. Each reagent produces its own colour response, and together the reactions form an identification profile. The results are compared with the included instructions and a digital interpretation tool.

Examining several reactions improves the reliability of the interpretation compared with a single test.

Suitability and extended use

The ProTest Cocaine Multi-Reagent Test Kit is optimised for identifying cocaine and common cutting agents, but its multi-reagent design also allows preliminary analysis of other compounds.

The kit can be used for preliminary identification in cases such as:

2C-B and other 2C compounds
MDxx compounds (e.g. the MDMA group)
Meth- and amphetamine
Tryptamines
LSD and other indole-structured compounds

The colour reactions produced by the different reagents together form an identification profile, which is compared against reference charts and the digital interpretation tool.

Please note that the kit is primarily designed for analysing cocaine and its common additives. For other compounds, interpretation is based on the combination of reactions rather than on a single colour response.
